Google+ invite?
Just gonna throw this out there because it’s becoming obvious that in order to get one it’s gonna take a little pro-activeness.
Anyone have a Google+ invite to give? Pretty please?

Will follow anyone that responds. Maybe we can get some sort of request/invite train going?

Santigold - “Go” [feat Karen O]
Oh snap, Santigold is back. If I’m remembering correctly, she was basically a better/more listenable version of MIA that dropped sometime late 2k8 right? No, I’m selling her short—her debut LP was pretty pop-fantastic, and actually I’ve been wondering when some new hotness would surface from her.
This time it looks like she...

“Jesus.
I’m just glad my twenties/youth alternative music phase happened in the 1990s, before the internet.
I pity you people. Trapped in an endless spiral of memes, hype, irony, and instant obsolescence.”
I saw this quote in a comment over at Hipster Runoff, a place that I sometimes despise but sometimes visit anyway.
This commenter was dead on though. Music is meant to...

This song has been in my head for days. I mean, I literally woke up humming it today.
Nice surprise that this-is-indie-rock happened to post it later on!

Tumblr to open music tag
This is great news!
fcollective:
I emailed Tumblr staff this morning inquiring about a music tag, their response was brief and tactful:
We totally understand where you are coming from. We plan to open up the music tag with multiple genres soon. Thanks for your suggestion, your patience, and your commitment to Tumblr!

MusicXray: Fans Love the Focus Groups and Artists... →
Hey! Thanks for linking back to me, and glad you liked what I wrote about the site!
musicxray:
One of our staff recently saw a really cool post while hanging out on Tumblr(hopefully not during work hours) that you can read here. Take a look at the post since it sums up how much fun fans are having on our site and how focus groups are turning into fan magnets for those artists with…

Once | Minds Made Up
Alright, so I went against conventional wisdom here and chose the second most famous scene from the movie. Falling Slowly is great, but it’s been seen to death. I actually thought this was maybe the better performance anyway. It’s the point in the film where you realize that, woah, this guy just might make it.
The reaction from the sound engineer is...

Ugh.
You know, I love Tumblr, but when are they gonna give us the ability to make well presented multi-media posts?
The way it stands now, it either looks good on the Dashboard or at the permalink, but never BOTH.
